When will I get listed?   This is the number one question we receive from newer users, so this area will show you when you can expect to be listed in the major search engines. Understand that submitting to today does NOT mean you will be listed today. Getting listed, also know as being indexed, will vary from engine to engine. This process can take anywhere from 1 day to several months depending on each search engine.   Also see Are you SURE you're not listed? and Can't find my listing under my keywords   This schedule outlines approximate listing times only, your site may get listed earlier or later than the schedule below:   Altavista - reports more than 25 million searches each day. Submission time is 7-14 days.   Go.com - made approximately 73,000,000 paid introductions in last quarter of 1999. No longer accepts submissions.   Google - is one of the largest engines with 1 billion pages indexed. Submision time is 2-4 weeks.   AskJeeves - delivered 800,000 leads to its advertisers in the first quarter of 2000, 2 weeks to 2 months.   Direct Hit - reaches 80 million Web users. Submission time is between 2 to 4 weeks.   AOL - has more than 22 million subscribers and 1.2 million peak simultaneous users. Submission time is 3-6 weeks.   Excite - has 44 million registered users and has 64 million URL's. Submission time is 4 weeks to 2 months.   LookSmart - reaches 50 million internet users a month and has 1.5 million sites indexed. Submission time is 3 weeks to 2 months.   NBCi (Snap) - is in the top 15 highest trafficed search engines with 110 Million documents indexed. Submission time is 2 to 4 weeks.   Netscape Search - has 5 million users and more than 120 million hits each day. Submission time is 2 weeks to 2 months.   Lycos - has 5 million Tripod and Angelfire members and 11 million visitors a month. Submission time is 2 weeks to 2 months.   HotBot - has 110 million URL's indexed, and 6 million users per month. Submission time is 2 weeks to 2 months.   yahoo - Fewer than 40% of all sites submitted actually make it into Yahoo! Submission time is 2 weeks to 2 months. Yahoo offers pay inclusion, with no guarantee of listing. MSN - is the number 1 Web portal in average usage days per user, per month. Submission time is 2 weeks to 2 months.   WebCrawler - has more than 2 million pages in their index. Submission Time is about 4-6 Weeks.   Can't find my listing under my keywords Our software automatically submits your site, as if you we're to visit 500,000 search engine sites and type in your submission info and submit it manually. The process of submitting your site is performed automatically by our software. The result process of "where you are listed within the results", and "under what keywords" are determined by each search engine itself. Each engine uses different algorithms to "rank a site" under xxxxx keywords. Typically this process is calculated by the "content" which is contained on your website, not the submission process.
